The Engine and Technology 

The revolutionary, next-generation engine is a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder that offers 122 horsepower and 114 lb.-ft of torque; this is paired with Nissan's signature Xtronic transmission or 5-speed manual. Fuel economy also gets an update as the 2020 Versa is expected to achieve up to 40 mpg on the highway. The 2020 Versa's technology gets an upgrade with the latest gizmos and gadgets that are usually reserved for more expensive vehicles. These technological advancements include keyless entry, push-button start, and power windows. Widespread features like heated front seats, Automatic Climate Control, Apple Car Play, and Android Auto are also available. These advancements carry over to its safety features as this version of the Versa includes Nissan Safety Shield 360, a technological marvel that provides side and rear safety monitoring and intervention technologies, as well as standard safety features like  Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Rear Automatic Braking, Lane Departure Warning and High Beam Assist. Equipment like Blind Spot Warning and Intelligent Cruise Control are also available. 

On the inside drivers and passengers will find elements closely associated with the popular Maxima and Altima, these include a gliding wing panel that makes the Versa feel more spacious with its use of light and smooth wingspan. This update gives the cabin an enhanced sense of togetherness and the horizontal architecture, open space and use of soft materials and colors give the whole interior a fresh almost upscale quality.
