What powers the Ariya?
Most electric vehicles today come in two battery sizes, and the Ariya is no different. The base version of the Ariya comes with a 63-kWh battery pack which can be paired with either a single motor with front-wheel-drive for 214 horsepower or you can get a dual motor setup with all-wheel-drive that will get you around 335 horsepower. This configuration allows you to go around 216 miles with a full charge with front-wheel-drive and 205 miles with all-wheel-drive. If you want more long-driving capability, you will want to go with the extended-range battery, which has 87-kWh capacity while also giving you a little more power, and you can expect 238 horsepower with front-wheel-drive and 389 with all-wheel-drive. With front-wheel-drive and an extended battery, the Ariya can travel an estimated 304 miles, which is very good for the class.
What features can I get with the Ariya?
Several different trim levels are available for the 2023 Ariya, and each is filled with an impressive amount of tech, luxury, and performance items. The base trim level is known as the Engage, which is wonderfully equipped base level trim as it comes with a standard battery pack, 19-inch wheels, LED headlights, power-folding and heated mirrors, keyless entry, a power-adjustable driver's seat, heated front and second-row seats, dual-zone climate control, and simulated leather upholstery. Then there are the numerous tech items you can get with the Engage, including a digital instrument panel, 12.3-inch center touchscreen, head-up display, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Higher trims, such as the Evolve+, add to this impressive haul with more terrific features, such as a panoramic sunroof, a power liftgate, LED foglights, a digital rearview mirror, automatic windshield wipers, a surround-view camera system, and a wireless charging pad. Finally, once you get to the top of the Ariya's range, you will be met with the most exceptional performance items, such as a standard dual-motor configuration, a hands-free liftgate, active noise cancellation, ambient interior lighting, leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, and a 10-speaker Bose audio system.
How safe is the Ariya?
